Who are we looking for?

We are currently looking to add a Digital Media Sales Representative to our team to contribute to the growth of our Psychedelic Spotlight platform through the sale of media and advertisement/sponsorship packages and contracts to the growing number of companies and brands operating within this quickly expanding market sector.

The primary focus associated with this position is to leverage your dynamic and impressive background and experience in advertisement sales to facilitate the sale of ad space and media content across our aforementioned platforms. Training will also be provided to ensure you are brought up to speed with the ins and the outs associated with our business model and what kind of companies and brands we are targeting for media partnerships.

We need someone who is extremely motivated and passionate about sales, and establishing new relationships and partnerships. Having some kind of knowledge and/or interest in the medicinal psychedelic or health and wellness sector would be extremely beneficial, although is not required. What is required, however, is a proven track record of success in sales and advertising and particularly in the digital media, social media, publishing, and/or broadcasting sector.

Note: Psychedelic Spotlight focuses on the coverage of news, information, and original content surrounding the medicinal psychedelic industry. We DO NOT facilitate, nor contribute to the sale of any psychedelic-related drugs or compounds. Our focus is strictly informational-based through our growing number of digital media platforms including our Psychedelic Spotlight website, our podcasts streaming on YouTube, Spotify and Apple, our Spotlight In Focus video series, and our weekly newsletters.

This position is commission only and provides flexible working hours. This position is a 1099 independent contractor position and is therefore fully remote. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to earn a salary on top of commission following the successful completion of sales.

In this position, you will:

• Become an ambassador for Psychedelic Spotlight, identifying companies interested in becoming dedicated partners and developing solid industry relationships
• Demonstrate your sales prospecting, cold calling/emailing, lead generation, follow up, proposals, and closing abilities to achieve results
• Utilize and develop a pipeline to track and manage all existing leads
• Understand the revenue value generated by our various media platforms and contribute to the ongoing evaluation of package price points
• Work closely with our Sales Manager to develop sales strategies and messaging to secure interest from prospects
• Display strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and exceed sales quotas

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-2 years experience in a sales-focused role (bonus points for working in the digital media space!)
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Business Administration or related field is preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office and Google platforms
• Highly independent, motivated, and initiative-driven
• Ability to listen to clients and customize solutions to fit their needs
• Flexibility and the willingness to adapt and learn as the company grows
