Bay Area Mental Health is seeking a new KAP Therapist to add to the team. We care deeply about bringing the best, most dedicated therapists to this important work. We work very hard and pride ourselves on being on our game as therapists and humans. We strive to continuously learn and evolve as we deepen our craft. This isn't our job. It's our dang calling. We hustle hard to bring top-notch care to the clients and are successful in private practice as a result of our efforts.

This position is fully in-person (Campbell, CA)

This job has a high degree of flexibility and will start part-time with the option to move to full-time if desired. You must be available to work some evening and weekend hours. Candidates must be independent, driven, collaborative, and enhance our fun, connected, and a positive-minded group of clinicians. The candidate will be an employee (W2)status and includes benefits.

Our decisions are guided by our core values:

Integrity * Authenticity * Inclusivity * Diversity * Community * Compassion

There is no single path to healing; it takes different approaches and different people. We draw on the differences in who we are, where we come from, what we’ve experienced, and how we think. We value and trust each other and that makes us stronger together.

As a practice, we work in a Collaborative Care model with complex cases, including trauma and complex PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, and Substance Use. We believe in Transforming Pain Into Purpose. We Love what we do as we get the honor of working with people who are ready to "dig into transformation” and not just white-knuckle it through the hard times. The clients are the people who suffer in silence and dedicate themselves to continuous growth to make the most out of life. We help people move through their pain and deepen their understanding of self, heal old wounds, and live a life that feels full and meaningful. We shake up the narrative of therapy and flip antiquated notions on its head as we push new limits and inspire our communities to deepen, heal, and progress in their beautiful lives.

Our therapists are called to do this work; it is not "just a job". We want to see the clients succeed in all ways and we want to thrive along with them. We take pride in the clients knowing we truly care about their lives and have the know-how to understand their stories at a deep level. The foundation of this practice is Humanistic and Mindfulness-Oriented, meaning that we do not pathologize the human experience but rather aim to conceptualize the clients in a more holistic manner as we understand their way of being in the world. We believe that our best work is done when we are empowered and free to pursue our passions. Our therapists gain immense support in helping them attain the right client fit to bring the best therapeutic results. It's what transforms the clients' lives and keeps our therapists well-fed on meaning and effectiveness. We encourage creativity and foster the space for our clinicians to be their authentic selves in the workplace. Our team is awesome. We work like a boss, Love the clients hard, and are supremely laid back and caring with one another on an interpersonal level. This is a great position for people who have a big ambition to make an impact but would rather build a practice as a part of a team than do it on their own (I mean really, where's the fun in that!). Our practice is committed to increasing access to mental health care so our candidate will also be facilitating therapy groups.

As we continue growing our dream team, our aim is to have a staff that represents our community. BIPOC and folks who come from various backgrounds in all respects (sexual orientation, SES, geographic region, spirituality, age, etc.) are encouraged to apply.
