Nurse Practitioner Position

We seek a nurse practitioner to join Elysian Wellness to provide empathic and quality care to mental health and chronic pain patients. At Elysian Wellness, we provide ketamine infusion therapy to treat drug-resistant depression, severe anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and chronic pain conditions. Our treatment protocols have proven to be life-changing for our patients. As a nurse practitioner for the clinic, your responsibilities will include consulting, treating, and helping with patient care throughout their treatment. The right fit for this position is an independent, caring part-time or contract Nurse Practitioner (NP) who is interested in working at a slow to steady pace with a small, comfortable up-and-coming practice.

Responsibilities:

· Perform mental health and chronic pain examinations.

· All activity for providing infusions of Ketamine across the lifespan including, but not limited to, administering ketamine treatment and coordination of care.

· Ability to provide medication management and informal counseling.

· Effectively communicate with team members, physicians, patients, and their families.

· Document interaction and patient treatment plan in EMR and via other communication platforms.

· Administer and monitor IV infusions.

· Conduct Pharmacy inventory and communicate needs for reordering in a timely manner.

· Work independently in an adapting start-up environment with guidance from an off-site physician and owners.

· Possess a highly collaborative style within the medical community and with a multidisciplinary team.

Skills and Requirements:

· Current Virginia state license/registration to practice.

· Must hold or be able to obtain an Autonomous Practice License.

· Preferred experience in psychology and/or emergency medicine.

· BLS required, ACLS preferred

· Excellent verbal and written skills.

· Proficient in IV insertion.

· Experience charting on EMR.

· Ability to make sound emergency judgments.

· Knowledge of Ketamine (preferred).

· Ability to multitask and stay organized.

· Compassionate and caring.

· Passion for improving mental health care.

· Interest in alternative treatments.

· Good communication Skills.

· CPR certification.
