Roles & Responsibilities:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a full-time clinical research project manager in a high-profile, cutting-edge clinical research program on posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) under the direction of Principal Investigators Rachel Yehuda, Amy Lehrner, and Janine Flory

The Project Manager I oversees the operational aspects and scope of a specific project or ongoing department initiatives. S/he supports department leadership, organizes conferences, seminars, location moves, educational initiatives and other projects, and is responsible for the creation and monitoring of timelines and other specifications.

Responsibilities

The project manager will be involved in research conducted by the Sinai Center for Psychedelic Psychotherapy and Trauma Research and the James J Peters VA Medical Center (Bronx). The project manager will create and execute plans for complex research projects that may include clinical trials and biological studies of PTSD. This position will include supervisory responsibility for research coordinators, and will answer to senior operations and investigative staff. The project manager will be responsible for oversight of: day to day operations of research studies, completion and maintenance of regulatory documents, facilitating project-related meetings and coordination with interdisciplinary research team. The manager will track project status and changes, notify management when issues arise, and assist with taking corrective action as needed. Current studies in the lab include: psychedelic-assisted therapies for PTSD, generation of stem cells for in vitro investigations of molecular underpinnings of PTSD, meditation for PTSD, and the use of hydrocortisone for patients being treated in emergency departments following a traumatic experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or greater preferred, or combination of applicable work experience and education
• 3+ years of relevant experience with Masters degree; 5+ years with Bachelors degree; project management-specific experience preferred

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $65885 - $98827 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
