ABOUT

Founded in March 2018, Psychedelic Support is the most extensive online directory of vetted, licensed healthcare providers and community groups offering services related to psychedelics medicines and integration. We advance psychedelic knowledge through our education platform featuring courses and training programs taught by leading psychedelic researchers and mental health professionals. Our focus is on building a sustainable community where health providers and the public can make meaningful connections and access trusted resources related to psychedelic medicines.


POSITION SUMMARY

The Community Engagement Specialist will be responsible for performing activities related to social media, communications and messaging, marketing, design, and education. They will further the mission of Psychedelic Support by developing and implementing strategies to foster engagement and outreach on social media, in the learning management system, and across the platform. The Community Engagement Specialist will have creative input into marketing materials and responsible for tracking metrics of success. They are expected to collaborate with other team members while working independently on assigned tasks. Reporting directly to the CEO, the person in this role is expected to be present online for 8-16 hours/week (across approximately 4 days per week). This position is the perfect opportunity for a highly motivated individual to gain experience in the field of psychedelics, online marketing and community building.


POSITION DUTIES


●     Formulate goals, strategies, and metrics of success

●     Write and review marketing posts, videos, emails, landing pages, and other materials

●     Stimulate conversations and engagement with social media audiences and students in our learning management system

●     Grow and nurture audiences and community relationships

●     Respond to comments and questions on social media

●     Follow and refine procedures to improve metrics of growth


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

●     Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively

●     Knowledgeable about psychedelic medicines, research, harm reduction, diversity and inclusion, and mental health topics

●     Strong aptitude to adhere to process, systems and procedures

●     Proficiency in reviewing and editing text, copywriting, and design (video and images)

●     Prior experience with community building and marketing

●     Ability to be online for 8-16 hours/week, across 4 days/week


LOCATION

This is a remote position but requires some hours for meetings during normal business hours (Pacific Time zone).


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This is an hourly contract position for 8-16 hours per week. Compensation is commensurate with experience and location.
