Purpose
The purpose of this position is to work closely with the Curio Fractional Chief Science Officer and the CEO to coordinate the research activities and provide support to Science at Curio.
Description
Work with Curio Science to support research. The individual contracted for this position will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day research activities for both randomized control and cross-sectional design research studies. The contractor must be able to work at a fast pace, have excellent organizational skills, interpersonal and communication skills, strong time management skills, and the ability to use good judgment in daily tasks. This person will also need to implement approved study protocols with high fidelity to ensure that we meet study accrual, retention, and data quality targets. Experience identifying, recruiting, and retaining patients in behavioral research is critical.
Specific responsibilities will include working with writing IRB applications, completing screening and enrollment procedures, administering measurement protocols, recruiting national samples, maintaining participant retention, monitoring the well-being of research participants, reporting on accrual and retention, helping identify and solve problems to ensure study goals are met, helping prepare reports for study meetings and regulatory requirements, completing administrative tasks, and participating in writing manuscripts and grant applications.
Position Requirements
Candidates must have completed a Master’s degree in clinical psychology, behavioral health, social sciences, public health, or a related field (or equivalent experience). The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of hands-on experience conducting behavioral health research and demonstrate experience in manuscript submission as part of a study team.
Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on equivalent basis
Minimum Required Education: Master’s Degree
Minimum Required Experience: 2-3 years working as part of a research team
