THE ROLE

  • Salary Package: From $A86,851 to $A95,869 (HEW 6) p.a., plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading. Pro-rata for part time position.
  • Appointment Type: Full-time or Part time (0.8 FTE), Fixed term for 2 years
  • Macquarie University (Sydney) location

We are seeking an enthusiastic researcher with an interest in psychedelic science or mental health to support the research and/or clinical trial requirements for research programs on mental health, psychedelics and altered states of consciousness led by Dr Vince Polito in the School of Psychological Sciences.


This project will involve development of experimental measures and tasks for quantifying the effects and outcomes of psychoactive substances, development of trial procedures and protocols, and conducting neuroimaging research including brain imaging. The successful applicant will be responsible for designing and conducting experiments, statistical analyses and interpretation, creation and maintenance of research databases, literature reviews, report writing, research administration, ethics application submissions and liaising with partner organisations, clinicians and consumers.
