COMPASS Pathways plc is a mental health care company dedicated to accelerating patient access to evidence-based innovation in mental health. Our focus is on improving the lives of those who are suffering with mental health challenges and who are not helped by current treatments. We are pioneering the development of a new model of psilocybin therapy, in which our proprietary formulation of synthetic psilocybin, COMP360, is administered in conjunction with psychological support.

COMP360 has been designated a Breakthrough Therapy by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and has received Innovative Licensing and Access Pathway (ILAP) designation in the UK for treatment-resistant depression (TRD). We have completed a phase IIb clinical trial of psilocybin therapy for TRD, in 22 sites across Europe and North America. This was the largest randomised, controlled, double-blind psilocybin therapy clinical trial ever conducted, and our topline data showed a statistically significant (p<0.001) and clinically relevant improvement in depressive symptom severity after three weeks for patients who received a single high dose of COMP360 psilocybin with psychological support. We are also running a phase II clinical trial of COMP360 psilocybin therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The Senior Director of Clinical Care will be responsible for clinical content and support the training of therapists on the delivery of the COMPASS psychological care model for a global workforce of clinicians. The Senior Director of Clinical Care will also be responsible for overseeing our mentorship programme.  

Location: New York (USA), or London (UK). Remote considered.

Reports to: Senior Vice-President, Clinical Care Innovation.


Roles and responsibilities

(include but are not limited to):


  • Development of clinical content for our clinical training programme, which includes digital, self-paced learning, live interactive, clinical observations, and continuing development
  • Management of external subject matter expert relationships and their contributions to high-quality clinical training content
  • Delivery of clinical training, as needed, to new therapists learning the COMPASS Psychological Support Model to the highest standards
  • Development of a world-class training team, including selection, training trainers, curriculum development, and quality assurance across the training team
  • Inform updates to the COMPASS Psychological Support Model for new indications 
  • Manage our global mentorship programme and driving opportunities to enhance quality oversight and continuing education initiatives
  • Oversee fidelity monitoring and feedback system by informing how to use tech-enabled feedback systems to optimize quality delivery and inform training remediation plans
  • Collaborate with our learning experience design and product development team, clinical operations digital, market access and medical affairs team members to ensure successful adoption of the training content and delivery

 

Required qualifications:


  • Mental health professional with 10 plus years of mental health care delivery experience
  • Experience with digital health
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, industry setting
  • Strong experience with development and delivery of clinical training and supervising clinicians
  • Strong at systems level thinking, able to see the big picture and utilize this approach to inform the development of exceptional training experiences
  • Comfortable with uncertainty and being in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced growth-oriented environment.
  • Hands-on and empathetic people manager with experience managing a dispersed team. Demonstrated ability to cultivate and develop a motivated, high performing team
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills
  • Experience delivering evidence-based, manualized mental health care approaches
  • Experience working with a range of clinical populations with complex needs
  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Strong alignment with the core values and mission of COMPASS

 

Preferred qualifications:


  • Experience with learning management systems
  • Able to adapt to change quickly, set shifting
  • Experience with blended care models that harmonize human support with tech and analytics
  • Excellent communication skills including presentation and communication skills
  • Able to operate independently and in cross-functional teams under uncertainty in an entrepreneurial and rapid growth-oriented environment

 

【For NYC】Compensation Description (annually):


The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $150,000 - $200,000 annually. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.

Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work and any role at COMPASS, regardless of the location, is eligible for additional discretionary bonuses and equity.
