Social Media Content Creator for Mental Health/Psychedelic Digital Startup

Does creating and curating content with the potential to improve people’s lives and mental wellness sound like a great mission? We are actively looking for a highly skilled, dynamic and strategic Part-Time Social Media Contractor to collaborate with the founders and leaders of Supermind (which can potentially lead to full-time).

 ***This is not a general social content creator role. Only candidates with a relevant mental health/psychology/therapy/medical credential or substantial professional experience working in a MH/psychology/therapy/medical field will be considered***

Supermind is building trusted platforms and technology to give consumers greater access to mental health treatments, psychedelic-assisted therapy, and the inner-journey using quality, credible, and comprehensive content.

Requirements

The following are essentially “must-haves”, or you will need to be close or have some other outstanding, relevant qualifications to replace not meeting any of these (i.e. the “Major Pluses”). ***We are putting these at the forefront to save both your and our time, as we wish to only engage with well-qualified candidates. Top 3 Must-Have Qualifications:

1. Substantial personal or professional experience with psychedelics. 
2. Extensive experience with creating social media content.
3. A relevant mental health/psychology/therapy/medical credential or substantial professional experience working in a MH/psychology/therapy/medical field.

Top 3 Major Pluses:

1. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of social platform algorithm, experience with scaling followers and engagement to high levels (i.e. over 50K followers, above 2-5% engagement)
2. Comfortable with being on camera and/or has a strong network of credentialed professionals
3. Intermediate to advanced video editing skills and/or graphic design or motion graphics skills

Overview of Role

In this role, you will be responsible for researching and executing content creation in the psychedelic space. You have a relevant MH/psychology/therapy/medical credential or substantial professional experience working in MH/psychology/therapy/medical field. You will have a blend of excellent digital and creative skills and basic knowledge of the current atmosphere of psychedelics, mindfulness, and personal growth. You will direct and oversee ideation, design, production and execution of concepts, while providing clear direction to internal teams and external resources.

Responsibilities 

• Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy after conducting competitive research, platform determination, messaging and audience identification
• 3+ years of experience in social media management and content creation
• Plan, coordinate, and create content to both grow and maintain followers and engagement through popular social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok on a regular basis that builds meaningful connections and increases brand awareness
• Work within each platform’s community guidelines to ensure content will not be removed or result in account suspension
• Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices, as well as the latest in the field of psychedelics and mental wellness
• Collaborate with other content creators in the space

• Able to create engaging content across various major social platforms.
• Relevant mental health/psychology/therapy/medical credential or substantial professional experience working in MH/psychology/therapy/medical field.
• Comfortable with being on camera and/or has a strong network of credentialed professionals
• Excellent written English grammar and spelling
• A plus if you have intermediate to advanced knowledge of social platform algorithm, experience with scaling followers and engagement to high levels (i.e. over 50K followers, above 2-5% engagement)

Required Skills:

• Highly productive. You’re able to set goals and establish challenging yet realistic deadlines in collaboration with other team members, achieving optimal results on a daily basis without the need for continuous oversight or pre-approval (within reason, of course). 
• Demonstrated creativity and innovation within the mental wellness/psychedelics space
• Intermediate to advanced video editing skills and/or graphic design or motion graphics skills
• Comfortable sourcing freelancers for any graphic/video design/editing skills you don’t possess, and managing those assignments and relationships
• Can work efficiently and effectively while remote (we’re a 100% remote company).
• Great communication skills with team members and your potential audience across social platforms.
• Solid understanding of the current social media landscape and best practices to help content reach its maximum audience.
• Proficient using multi-social posting programs (i.e. Buffer)
